It is has really been long since I wrote a mail for more than 10 words be it official or personal. I think seeking inspiration from these guys I thought why not fill some space from my end also.
If going to office everyday and coming back can be described as events of life then that seems happening in the most rhetorical manner. But to add spice to all this are the weekends.
In last 2 months not more than 5 weekends I have been in hyderabad and only 1 weekend spent time like a lazy guy at home.
The first weekend I dropped in hyderabad I would have visited about 60% of the places which people visit in the name of tourist spots. Be it lumbini part and the big Buddha statue in the middle of a lake or the Birla mandir or Golconda fort ( Last was the greatest disappointment cause there is nothing other than half broken walls and tall stories told by guides with that). Things even got better when I could go to Prasad IMAX and PVR in Bangalore Central (Badluck was I could only see a stupid movie in Prasad).
In fact my ex boss who is from Hyderabad said there is nothing left in Hyderabad to go around.
One weekend Went to chennai for my friends marriage (though I did not stay till the marriage which he was upset about). Thats when did I picked up the Electric stove and the some Vessels from Sita chitti's place (I think for the next 3 weeks the only thing I cooked was maggi in that).
Next came the Long Christmas weekend Vizag was graced by my holy presence (too much!!!!!!!!). I had booked for the onward journey and did not book for the return journey. Nitya mama was more tensed than me. Except Araku Valley I think we would have gone around most of Vizag. In fact we had time to go to Taare Zameen par thanks to Lalitha. The trip was fantabulous. Lalitha would have had a tough time managing me cause I was all set to roam anywhere and everywhere and eat anything and everything. The submarine and the beach was a real treat. I have always thought how it will be to have a mountain and beach one next to the other and saw that in Vizag.
By this time I got the long planned Bike which I wanted to purchase. The week after that was roaming hyderabad in the bike was the only agenda I would easily covered about 150 Kms in a day. this is when I understood the best part of asking route in Hyderabad -- THESE GUYS DO NOT SAY ANY DIRECTION OTHER THAN "SEEDHA "(Go straight in Hindi for the non Hindi speaking population) AFTER WHICH ATLEAST 3 TO 4 RIGHT TURNS AND LEFT TURNS ARE INVOLVED". But this also made me understand the routes in hyderabad. The biggest problem in this entire thing is that I cannot speak a word in Telugu and understanding to left only words which are TAMIL WORDS + LU. The traffic in hyderabad in amazing the roads are for the general people and the footpath is for bikes and auto's. You would be safe to cross the highway without following any of the rules which were taught at school ( The look left then right then left again before you cross)
Out of focus joke i had to really act out washing to make the dhobi understand what i wanted to say.
I had long heard of Shirdi and the place being very close to Hyderabad etc. 7th and 8th Jan weekend I decided to go to Shridi and to join I got Mahesh to also to come from Mumbai. I think we met after 6 months in Shirdi. We would have travelled crazy in those 2 days. Shirdi, Sani Shingnapur ( which I pronounced as singapore mostly), Nasik and Triyambakeshwar. We did some pooja in Shignapur also. We travelled to all these places without any plans attached. I was more a swades king of trip I think we did not travel by a 2 wheeler the rest of the modes we had travelled. We could find a decent accomodation in Triyambak and the dinner was too good.Nasik was the highlight of the entire trip there was nothing much but people a woven the story of Ramayana around the city in fact some of places where the showed reference to Ramayana were structure build a few years back.
That week Seetha Chitti, Deepa and Shankar chittappa had come to hyderabad. Seetha Chitti and Deepa got a fit of their life when they saw the house. It was empty by all definitions. Deepa had all plans to fill the house. How they could manage in that house is still a mystery to me. there is no TV, Radio or other source of entertainment. I don't know the neighbours and there is hardly any place to go around. But Hats off to chitti and Chittappa they could stay all day long in the house. In fact chitti actually started cooking other than Maggi in the house.
Something urged me to plan a trip to Chennai for pongal. By sheer coincidence or luck Dad got a transfer that week and Mom and dad relocated to Chennai. It was made the pongal weeknd plan rigid and Seetha chitti had to manage the weekend in my place. Chitti was more concerned on the key and I was more concerned whether they can get all stuff they wanted. The great Pongal weekend. May be after that trip the Flat members would have lodged a complaint on noise pollution. Out of 4 days 3 days I would have played cards. Either I went to Shantha chitti's place to play cards or there used to be big gang in Balu Mam's palce to play cards. And the best part was home food. I found it a lot difficult to eat food without Mirchi in that and Manni and Amma had a tough time managing me. I also could chip in time to go to Kapaleeshwarar Temple and Vadapalani Murugan Temple. Side note: The worst is what Saroja chitti did to me. She is training Hiran to call me MAMA rather than ANNA. As usual did not book my return tickets ( I had a waiting list ticket) and now there was more crowd to be worried. I think I am really over doing myself.
Let me give the rest in the next time when I could write something
